Ferrari set a new sales record last year and is gearing up for an exciting 2025 with the launch of six new models. This news was revealed in the company’s 2024 financial report for investors. Among the upcoming releases is Ferrari’s first-ever electric vehicle, set to debut on October 9 during Capital Markets Day in Maranello. While the EV’s official name remains undisclosed, it is currently referred to as “Ferrari elettrica.”
The Italian marque has yet to confirm the identities of the other five models, but some educated guesses can be made. With production of the SF90 Stradale having ended, its successor—likely another plug-in hybrid V-8 supercar—is expected to be unveiled later in 2025. An updated 296 is also anticipated, along with convertible variants of both coupes.
A refreshed version of the Purosangue could also be in the pipeline, possibly offering a more accessible alternative to the V-12 model. Given that the SUV’s platform was designed with electrification in mind, a plug-in hybrid V-8 or similar configuration seems plausible. Even Ferrari, despite its commitment to keeping the V-12 alive, must adapt to stricter emissions regulations.
It’s likely too soon for a Roma replacement in 2025, and there are no confirmed details on an “SP4” addition to the Icona Series. However, Ferrari’s special editions have followed a pattern, with the Daytona SP3 launching in 2022 after the Monza SP1/SP2 in 2018. Deliveries of the SP3 ramped up last year, reinforcing Ferrari’s dedication to its exclusive V-12 models.
While Ferrari has yet to introduce a fully electric car, hybrid models have become increasingly popular. In 2024, electrified vehicles made up 51% of Ferrari’s total shipments, surpassing pure internal combustion engine (ICE) models. The upcoming EV, set for release in late 2025, is unlikely to be a traditional supercar. Spy shots suggest Ferrari has been testing a modified Maserati Levante body, hinting at a more practical design—perhaps an electric crossover to complement the Purosangue, rather than a two-seater performance machine.
